Got a Franka Clothing question? You might find the answer to it here:

How do I know what size I am?

All of our current pieces are measured by the length and the width of the chest. To check what size you are, take a tailors tape measure (or a piece of string!) and wrap it round the largest part of your chest, you’ll find that it’s usually somewhere in line with just below the armpits. Then, take that measurement and compare it to that which is noted in the item description. We’re trialling this method, so as not to try and make yet another “S, M or L” sizing chart. We wanna challenge the notion of “omg I’m getting that right now” before checking and asking yourself; does it fit? can I picture it with a full outfit? Goodbye to the old ways of fast fashion and quick clothing decisions and hello to the taking things slow and making sure things are just right. Let us know your thoughts.

What do you mean by “Up-Cycled”?

All of the clothing we make and offer is made with materials that have been something before, whether that be pieces of clothing or other discarded material.

Why do you use secondhand material?

The fast fashion industry is one of the leading causes of global warming, damaging this planet even more. Every year, more than 300,000 tonnes of clothing go into landfill in the UK alone. Our aim is to make new and fun clothing available using materials that haven’t cost the earth any new resources.

I can’t find something in my size - what do I do?

Almost all of our clothing patterns are made by hand, which means - to make them - we need measurements from real humans! So often, clothing sizes are made digitally and that’s why you’ll often find that a size that fits you in one brand, doesn’t necessarily fit in another. We’re working everyday to be as inclusive as possible with sizing, you can help us with future sizing here. Alternatively, if you have specific wants or needs with sizing, you can email us about commission work here.

There’s something I wanted but it’s sold out, will you restock it?

Every item of ours is one of a kind (you’ll never see someone wearing the same item as you). Unfortunately this means that exact item won’t return. But, it’s possible for us to make similar items in the future. As mentioned previously, we take on commission work if you have a particular product in mind!

Where do you source your materials?

We source all of our materials from charity shops and local scrap stores. By not using brand new fabrics, we avoid clothing falling into landfill and creating more waste.

Do you offer clothing in person?

Yes! At every market we do in person we will always try to bring our most recent clothing with us. You can find out which markets we’re doing here
